Thousands are gathering at the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:26PM Eastern.

Apparently so many people were logging on to social networking and using email when the story hit that the internet slowed to a crawl. Watched the speech by Al Sharpton and listened to many interviews. No denying his genius and talent from an early age and his appeal to loyal fans. Or his role in helping make black entertainers mainstream megastars.
